Born in 1966, he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Poznań. He specializes in utopian design. He designs furniture and interiors referencing various eras and styles. They are characterized by a “morbid” violation of historical styles while simultaneously achieving perfectionist craftsmanship and using the highest quality materials. The artist also creates videos. Since 2010, together with cinematographer Michał Sterzyński, he has formed the design-generation group. They have shot nearly 40 short films in which the mundane Polish everyday life is presented in terms of exaggerated absurdity. (Source: MOCAK Museum of Contemporary Art)
Medals are a clash of sophisticated ancient cultures with the banal simplifications of modernity. On an ordinary brick wall, I arranged several dozen bronze medals, in which antiquity and modernity were united through the medium of bronze casting. This is my commentary on civilization – o tempora, o mores!
